Documenting my work – rather… what is Nathan working on, what’s working on him, and does it mean anything for myself or others. This is a journaling/blog practice encouraged by one of my favorite entrepreneurs, Derek Sivers, who is a strong advocate for writing about your work and teaching others through it. His philosophies are soothing like mountain water and I like where the stream leads.
It would be pretentious to think more than a handful of people care deeply over what I’m doing with my life, as everyone is preoccupied with their own, So this is more so a musing for my own benefit.
I feel better about myself when I write and articulate my life into a narrative or integrate stories from daily life into a belief system I’m developing. I do however hope it will help someone solve a problem or two in their life.
I believe 50 year old Nathan would thank the 22 y/o self for 28 years of stories captured for posterity and reflection.
I’m unsure of the structure, however, I know it will be about documenting my work and life adventures through stories and anecdotes.
This project of life/work documentation can be found only if someone looks for it, and will not be broadcasted for the world. The online publication is a means of accountability to the project objectives, which is to consistently document what I’m working on or thinking about. If you have made it here: Welcome, here’s my story.
This concludes musing #1
Sincerely,
Nathan
